On September 30, 2000 I drug home from Pa. a different kind of old iron. This
is a 1945 International TD-6 Crawler. It is just a basic crawler that I will use
to move my big oilfield engines around with and to do odd jobs around my place.
The engine starts on gasoline and then after a few minutes warm up, you pull a
lever and the engine switches over to diesel. The engine runs real nice and is my
first diesel engine. The following are a few photos I took the day I got her to
her new home...
Which lever does what? Just kidding, after a few minutes of running the crawler
you soon figure out which levers do what...
Here are 2 photos of the engine. Notice one side shows the diesel pump and injectors
and the other photo shows the gasoline carb and manifold...
Just a couple of photos...
Photo #1 is a shot looking over the hood from the drivers seat. Photo #2 is of the
gages...
These 4 photos are of various shots and on one of them my son wanted to get
into the photo too...
In this next batch of photos you can see I am scoping things out for mounting a
8' blade on my crawler. The blade can pivot left and right and can be
angled up and down. I can't wait to get this mounted...
Here is a photo captured by my
webcam
of me running the crawler in the middle
of winter. I couldn't pass up the nice day...
Below are a few photos a friend of mine took the day I picked up my
International TD6 crawler in Pa...
